On his return to RAAF headquarters, Sydney, Allan was transferred to the active reserve to be called up any time. He continued to serve his country at Williamtown Air Base, Newcastle for one weekend every month, for seven years, before being transferred to general reserve.
A highly trained Motor Mechanic, Auto Electrician and Television Technician; Allan was to later become a Master Mason and served his Lodge with pride and immense loyalty.
In his final years, Allan sat at many a hospital bedside, giving comfort to his fellow Masons in need. Little did they know that his own life was to be cut short after many years of silent suffering.
Author of "Through the Eyes of the Harasser" published by his daughter (Sandi) in 1999 after many years of encouragement from each of his children, Allan passed away on 23 March 2000 at his home of 30yrs in FASSIFERN, NSW Australia.
Survived by his loving wife of 54 yrs Johanna Christina Nipperess and children, Paul Clyde; Sharyn Christine; Sandra (Sandi) Gail, and Gregory Carl; grandchildren, Tammie Morrice; Rachael Helen; Kristy Leigh (dec.); Deborah Leigh; Karen; Nicole; Michael; Allan; Rachelle; Sharee; Shane & Annie; great-grandchildren, Taleigha Jade; & Crystal Leigh.
